The USMCA gives us rules of origin that could favor growth for the Mexican industry. With the modification of the rule of Regional Content Value (RCV) of the automotive sector, which will go from
62.5% to 75%, this change will be given in 4 states with gradual increases in the percentage over a period of three years.

USMCA

Benefits for Mexico…

BEFORE

Only 65% of automotive parts were required to be produced in Canada, USA and Mexico according to the NAFTA agreement.

NOW

75% of automotive parts will have to be produced in these three countries, with the addition that salaries would have to increase, offering more purchasing opportunities to workers in Mexico.
